Japan’s Sophia University has banned the use of ChatGPT by students for writing any of their assignments such as essays, reports with ChatGPT. It also warned that strict measures will be taken if students are found using the tool. The University of Tokyo also updated its guidelines saying “reports must be created by students themselves and cannot be created solely with the help of AI”.
