On May 16th, Vodafone CEO Margherita Della Valle has announced to lay off 11,000 jobs worldwide over three years.
Vodafone said it has an action plan already underway, focused around three priorities – significant investment reallocated in FY24 towards customer experience and brand, 11,000 role reductions.
Margherita Della Valle has described her vision for a leaner and simpler organization, with increased commercial agility and resource allocation. She has also unveiled a new strategic plan to revitalize the operator group’s finances

As of March 2018, Vodafone India had a market share of 21% and with its merger with Idea, the collective Vodafone Idea network has approximately 375 million subscribers and is the Third largest mobile telecommunications network in India
